Vacation With Dogs Florida – West Palm Beach, Florida is a great vacation spot without pets. West Palm Beach is located on the east coast of Florida, approximately 73 miles north of Miami and 170 miles south of Orlando. It’s a quick trip to Palm Beach, which is on the other side of the intracoastal across the Flagler Memorial Bridge.

Last month, we traveled with our dog from Long Island, New York to West Palm Beach. After weeks of constant cold and more snow than I could handle Shoveling, I must call it quits the old winter! I’m so glad I took that break because when we got back to New York we were hit by four Nor’easers in a row. Mother nature has completely disappeared.

West Palm Beach Dog Friendly I’m so happy to see West Palm Beach Dog Friendly! I am very happy with our choice of hotel, the Hyatt Place Hotel in downtown West Palm Beach. The place is perfect, for walking and socializing with dogs. There are three locations, within walking distance of our hotel, making the perfect location for a pet-friendly vacation.
Central Boardwalk Just to the east of the hotel is a beautiful paved walkway that runs along the Central Waterway. This long song is perfect for any time of day or evening. The road is wide and the water feature is beautiful. There is also a grassy area if your dog needs a potty break.
Walk to the long pier that juts out of the water for a better view of the surrounding area.
You can walk your dog across the Flagler Memorial Bridge. The bridge itself is very beautiful and the view of the water and the city of West Palm Beach is beautiful, especially at night.

Palm Beach Walk When you walk across the flag bridge, you are in the beauty of Palm Beach. Cross the bridge on the left and you will come to the parking lot and the start of the Palm Beach Trail. The road runs for several miles down the middle from the bridge, passing most of Palm Beach. This way, you will get to the famous Flagler Museum. There are beautiful houses on one side of the boardwalk and on the other side you can see downtown West Palm Beach across the water.
We enjoyed walking the dog along Palm Beach Road, enjoying the water views and climbing the tall buildings along the way.
We absolutely loved the location on this lovely hiking trail! Fortunately, there are some sheltered spots where we can stop for a water break with the dog. When we passed a bridge, we saw some big fish swimming. Icy is obsessed with monsters and wants to interact with them. Of course, we didn’t let him get too close!

Dogs Luv Us And We Luv Them: Dog Friendly Vacation In West Palm Beach, Florida
Rosemary Square (aka City Place) east of our hotel, on the water, has all the natural beauty but behind the hotel it does! About 7 minutes walk west of the hotel is Rosemary Square, formerly City Place, a shopping and dining area. It is not only a fun house, but an entertainment place, where they organize concerts and other events.
Rosemary Square is a large area, covering several blocks. We spent most of our time in the big “square” you see in the picture above. Rosemary Square has restaurants and shops, or you can grab a coffee and people watch!
One of our favorite breakfast spots is the Gourmet Cheese Shop in the middle of City Square.
We love Rosemary Square and spend many days and most of our nights there. Warning: Clematis Street, near Rosemary Square, is the “restaurant row” of West Palm Beach. However, many homeless people hang out there, especially during the day. They know that they come to the restaurant to ask for money and take food from their plate. The city is doing well to solve this problem. I was greeted by a homeless man as we walked under Clematis one morning looking for a coffee shop. She always insisted that I take a small bag of food from her and give the contents to her. My dog. I don’t know why he was forced to do that but he followed me for a few minutes asking me to take the bag. Of course, my husband was not 50 feet ahead of me, never mind. Laugh out loud!!

Another great thing about West Palm Beach is that it’s only a 15 to 20 minute drive to dog friendly beaches, Juno Beach and Jupiter Beach!

All of our beach houses and beaches are pet friendly. The owner asks you to use the pig doors we provide to control access to areas of the house that have carpets or furnishings. PetSpa washrooms are designed for pets. This is perfect for washing sand feet, etc. Also, the road in front of the house can be a bit busy, so it is recommended that you prefer a leash for your pet.
