After arriving in Canada, we visited Mount Revelstoke National Park, Mount Robson National Park, Jasper National Park, and Banff National Park. We then headed to Rossland to check into a small hotel to give everyone some comfort.

We explored some of the Noodle-approved trails including Peyto Lake, Kinky Lake Loop (outside the park), and Maligne Canyon. Noodle and Kyle hiked the 20+ miles into Johnston Canyon along the Bow Valley Trail, while Shamus and I hiked Moose Meadows.
Banff locals introduced us to the Bow Valley Parkway. In an effort to attract more cyclists, Banff National Park closed the road during the off-season and continues a 3-year pilot program that allows cyclists to ride without having to worry about vehicles. Local input like this and the All Routes app were great for us to find accurate information about route conditions, rides and play to help us determine if Noodle would be able to participate in the event of choice.
