We have not stayed at any of the properties in Margaret River. They are written for the day we move or end up leaving the dog with friends and living in a house that is not dog friendly! Margaret River Hideaway is a great pet lodging option in Margaret River because I called to learn about dogs (and little people)! The owner is very nice. I hope you can sign up here for your next Margaret River escape!
Why is this our choice? It seems to be the perfect combination of family friendly accommodation and dog friendly Margaret River accommodation. Margaret River Sanctuary is home to a variety of farm animals including Dorpers, alpacas, Scottish Highland Cattle, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, emus, peacocks and chickens. I can imagine my kids really enjoying the animal feeding activities we do every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. There is even a playground for the kids!
With stunning views over farm and bush, Margaret River Hideaway Cottages are modern, spacious and have everything you need for self catering! Another thing that was important to us during our escape to Margaret River was being able to enjoy our privacy. Reviews say that the houses are well equipped so that you can enjoy the tranquility.
Caves Road Bungalow appears to be another good choice for pet friendly accommodation in Margaret River. Like the Hideaway, each cottage is fully self-contained, air-conditioned, wood-burning fireplace, linens – everything you need for a comfortable stay !

The Chalet is another great escape from Margaret River, as it is set in 64 acres of beautiful woodland. However, keep in mind that they only have 3 bungalows, so they are usually booked in advance.
Do you offer dog friendly accommodation? “Yes! Dogs are more than welcome. Please let us know before you book, as in rare circumstances we are unable to accept certain types of dogs. We have a limit of 2 dogs per chalet and each dog one will cost $11 per night.
The most expensive dog friendly accommodation in the Margaret River area is Redgate Forest Retreat. It has a large peaceful reserve (167 hectares, with 50 hectares of primary forest) just 10 minutes from the center of Margaret River.
It is close to Redgate Beach, after which it is named, and close to Leeuwin Estate, Voyager Estate and Xanadu Wineries.

There are four accommodation options. Each one is very unique. They range from luxury bungalows to renovated villas, with two self-catering bungalows also wheelchair accessible. The website says “as dog owners, we’ve visited many places in the area that claim to be dog friendly but aren’t.”
Each holiday home has air conditioning (for the chilly Margaret River season), fully equipped kitchen and electric barbecue!
If you know the area, Four Seasons Holiday Park is located off the Vasse Bypass, about 15 minutes from Busselton and 11 minutes from Dunsborough. The place is Marybrook for those in the know!
Four Seasons is one of the longest running caravan parks and accommodation providers in the Busselton and Dunsborough area (over 40 years!) and gives you the feel of the years.
A Roundup Of The Best Dog Friendly Accommodation South West Wa
They are located on an area of 22 hectares, near the amazing Geographe Bay. Even better, this part of Geographe Bay is dog friendly!
Not only do they allow dogs year-round, but they also have at least 5 dog kennels. In fact, Four Seasons Busselton looks like the perfect getaway for you and your pets! If you are staying at this “dog friendly” accommodation, you must bring all your own linens.
In addition to having a dog beach nearby, the Four Seasons also has a coin-operated DIY Doggie spa – talk about giving your dog a break!

In fact, you should call most parks and find out their policies. For example, even if you go camping, they may not allow dogs during school holidays or peak times around Easter or Christmas.

One of the most popular Caravan Parks in Busselton, Big 4 Breeze Holiday Park is also one of the most dog friendly accommodation options in Busselton. If you are camping or living in a caravan there are many options; But if you’re looking for chalet-style accommodation, Breeze Busselton Caravan Park has several pet-friendly units.
You can choose from a 2-bedroom bungalow or a 6-bed Spa Villa, bed linen included but they ask that pets are not allowed in the bedroom. They also charge a $70 pet cleaning fee for cleaning fees associated with your home.

There is less time to stay on holidays or long weekends, but otherwise, you can stay at this dog-friendly Busselton accommodation all year round for just one night!

Dog Exercise Areas
One of the most famous (and most Insta-worthy) hikes in Margaret River is Quinninup Falls. Please note that this is a National Park and not dog friendly! You are not allowed to bring pets to Quinninup Falls!
As a general rule, dogs are not allowed in any of the National Parks around Margaret River. This is not only for the wildlife but also to protect the dogs, as the 1080 dogs used in the National Park can harm domesticated dogs.
If you’re planning to take your pet to Margaret River, you’ll want to know where the dog friendly beaches in Margaret River are! I did this research for our upcoming vacation – with the dog – and thought I’d share what I found! Of course, there’s nothing better than checking this out in person, so I’ll probably update it soon!
If you’re staying near Margaret River town, you’ll want to head north to Gnarabup Dog beach, from Riflebutts Reserve. There is also a Gracetown dog beach, just down the bay from the main Gracetown beach. There is a dog ramp there.
