That’s why I recommend booking accommodation in Glacier National Park in advance – several months to more than a year in advance.

In addition, many facilities and services are available throughout the village of Apgar. You can rent bikes and boats, browse the original Cedar gift shop, enjoy ice cream and coffee, or have lunch or dinner at the village restaurant.
Another place to stay in Apgar is In village. Since 1956, this historic lodge is located on the quiet west shore of Lake McDonald. You will be far from the water of the largest glacier.
Village Inn has two floors with a smaller bedroom and a kitchen on the first floor. On the second floor there are small and large units that can accommodate up to six people.

Built in 1913, the historic Lake McDonald Lodge is an architectural gem of the national park system.
Similar to the huge Swiss lodge, it offers classic accommodation on the east shore of Lake McDonald, about 10 miles from Glacier National Park.

Its 82 guest rooms are divided between the impressive three-story Snyder Hall with a guesthouse-style Cobb House with three rooms and a series of cottages.
According to the inn’s website, “all rooms are comfortable for guests as long as they are built.” Recent updates have added a double bed and a double bed and improved some of the rooms while maintaining a rusty feel.
Dining options include the dining room, barbecue and pizza area, as well as the park’s popular red boat tour and bus tour. Manager programs and other leadership activities are also available.
The interesting fact about Lake McDonald Lodge is that its main entrance facing the lake is not the path to the sun that was later built.

As the name suggests, it offers motel-style accommodation in the form of single and double rooms. There is a parking lot in front of the building which gives comfort to your room.
The rooms themselves are dilapidated and simple, typical of most stays in Glacier National Park, but comfortable. They provide everything you need to relax and sleep while visiting the park.
Popular hiking trails include the Cedar Trail, Avalanche Lake and Sperry Chalet, and near McDonald Creek and Falls and the Sacred Dance Cascade are great street attractions.

Although prices vary depending on availability and room type, the Lake McDonald Motel is usually a more affordable option than the nearby Lake McDonald Lodge. Something to remember.
Located halfway along the northern shore of Lake St. Mary and Rising Sun Motor Inn and Cabins are the closest accommodation to the Logan Pass.
This is probably the best place to stay in Glacier National Park if you are planning an early morning walk in the area. Nearby trails include the Sun Point Nature Trail, Sunrift Canyon to Baring Falls and St. Petersburg. Mary and Virginia Falls Trail.
Sunrise also puts you in the best position to find parking at the busy Logan Pass, the highest point of the road to the sun. If you want to climb the two largest mountains of Glacier National Park, the Hidden Lake Overlook Trail or the Highline Trail, you must park there.

Rising Sun Motor Inn and Cabins dates back to 1940 and has 72 units. As the name suggests, motel-style accommodation consists as well as two separate double cabins.
All rooms have a private bathroom but no air conditioning, telephone or TV. Again, this is staying “with how long the room was built.”
Facilities include a general store and gift shop, along with a full service Two Dog Flats Grill restaurant. Boat trips and Red Bus tours are also available here.
6 miles east of Rising Sun, St. Mary and 12 miles west of Logan Pass.

The shores of the great lake St. Lake Mary is only a quarter of a mile from the hotel. Famous views, including views of Lake St. Mary Lake View and especially Wild Goose Island is just a few minutes down the road.

This location allows for a day trip to the path to the sun, two doctors and several ice rinks. (However, I must say that I would recommend staying at Many Glacier for a night or two.)
Although not technically in Glacier National Park, St. Mary Village is near the park boundary where you can walk there in minutes from your room.
There are the main lodge, the western lodge, the ice cabin, the big bear lodge, the climber cabin, the sun cabin and my favorite small cabin.
In addition, St. Mary Village Cafe, Café, Bar and Restaurant. There are also grocery stores, gas stations and outside vendors.
The Best Places To Stay Near Glacier National Park
This huge gift shop sells everything from T-shirts, animals and toys to jewelry and ceramics made by local artists. They also have the largest collection of berry products in the area, such as jams, syrups and soaps.
Mary Village Road is my favorite place to stay in Glacier National Park. This is due to both the great location and the high quality accommodation. Be sure to check out these little houses!
Swiftcurrent Motor Inn and Cabins is “the gateway to Glacier’s greatest trail” at the end of Many Glacier Road (see below), about a mile west of the Many Glacier Hotel.
Located in the middle of the Many Glacier, this is probably the best accommodation for hikers in Glacier National Park. There are also campgrounds along the way for those who want to live outside more.
West Glacier Vacation Rentals
Roads to great places like the Ptarmigan Tunnel, Iceberg Lake, Redrock Falls and Swiftcurrent Pass start at the door.
In addition, the venue for Swiftcurrent Lake, Lake Grinnell, Grinnell Glacier and Cracker Lake is a bit far. They start near the Many Glacier Hotel. Truly a tourist paradise.
There are motel-style rooms and cabins arranged in a circle. Some cabins, but not all, have private bathrooms. Those staying in cabins that do not have a bathroom can share a shower and a bathroom nearby.
In addition to these classic accommodations, Swiftcurrent Motor Inn also has a fully stocked restaurant, gift shop and camp shop.
