So we were delighted when we returned home to find that Hot Springs had opened its first culled dog facility. Dogs are allowed on all 26 miles of trails in Hot Springs National Park, and there are trails in and out of town. I like to start at the Fountain Trailhead and hike down North Mountain to Gulfa Canyon Campground. There you and your dog can relax, cool off and take a dip in the river. Both are located along the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail, a scenic trail that runs 2.7 miles from downtown Hot Springs Transportation Depot to its terminus just past the Golf Links course.
