Turkish Airlines introduced pet travel on domestic and international flights in February this year. Airlines allow cats, dogs and birds on all flights.
With Turkish Airlines, your pet, including its crate or cage, must not weigh more than 8 kg. The size of the box should not exceed 23 cm in length, 30 cm in width and 40 cm in height.
If your pet weighs more than 8kg or their crate does not meet the size requirements, your pet is still welcome to fly in the cabin.
In the US, BARK Air allows pets to board the plane with their owner – no carry-on required.
