In fact, I knew before arriving at this beautiful home on the Oregon coast that it was one of my favorite dog-friendly accommodations. How can you watch the sunset from your balcony overlooking the sea? Headlands Coastal Lodge & Spa is located in the heart of the Pacific Ocean, on a stunning beach next to Cape Kiwanda State Reserve. When we first arrived, the hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways. From the very up-to-date design, Oregon coast style and the hotel’s welcoming approach to people and dogs. My only complaint about the hotel is that we didn’t get to explore the Oregon Coast as much as we had hoped because we fell in love with the hotel and didn’t want to leave.

I will also mention that we had dinner at the Meridian (the local restaurant) which is also dog friendly. We were impressed with the high-end design and delicious coastal cuisine. On the second night, we enjoyed dinner on our balcony while drinking wine and watching the sunset with the dog; my friend was amazing.
