Although we’ve extended our extensive international travel during this pandemic, we love getting to know the Seattle area again and the wonderful weekend getaway (and dogs!). Walla Walla is one of the most popular wine regions in the country with over 120 wineries, so I honestly can’t think of a better place to spend a few days. Honestly, the Coho Oceanfront stole my heart with its waterside hot tubs. Although this Oregon Coast lodge is a short drive from Seattle, the modern interior and stunning views of the Pacific are worth the drive. Dogs under 25 pounds are welcome in select rooms – more details here.

It was my New Year’s resolution to book a stay at Dream Lodge in St. Petersburg. Edward as soon as possible – which should be easy since it’s half an hour’s drive out of town. This historically significant seminary is set back on 326 acres in a luxurious and elegant setting with direct access to Lake Washington. We had a wonderful weekend at The Lodges on Vashon in January 2020 – and you blogged about it – and the memories got me through the first few months of closing. This 570-square-foot building features amenities like private balconies, fireplaces, and jetted tubs. Plus, Vashon Island is the perfect place to explore beautiful beaches and hiking trails. Where Are The Dog-friendly Hotels Near Me? Here’s A Few That Welcome Y

I’ve been wanting to sit on one of these Insta-famous A-frames for a while now, and I’m determined to do it this year. Tye River Cabin Co. It offers three stunning A-frame cabins located in the heart of Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie, and all three accept pets for a fee. A word to the wise though, it can be difficult to get a spot because each of their awesome Insta posts get thousands of likes. Pet information listed under each cabin description.

In the year It was a great Easter weekend in 2019, and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to revisit the beautiful scenery and remote beaches that Lizzie loves to explore. Just a stone’s throw from the Canadian border, this secluded resort is an ideal base for hiking and sightseeing along the Northern Washington coast. They love dogs, and accept puppies in their bowls, beds and (at least during our visit) souvenirs. Dog information is here.

Step back in time by staying in one of these vintage trailers in Dayton, Oregon. Best part? They are located in the Willamette Wine Country. I love a retreat of sorts, and Winthrop’s Rolling Hotties offers just that. These tiny houses were designed by Seattle-based Olson Kundig Architects as a modern alternative to camping. Well, technically it’s not available yet, but we’ve signed up for notifications for a chance to launch these amazing camping trailers in Olympic National Park. They offer more creature comforts than a typical camper while still providing a secluded and sustainable way to get into nature. Sure, Idaho is a bit of a drive from Seattle, but we’ll drive any distance to stay in this windless place. And the little details like the on-site sauna and antique coffee grinder melted my heart. Pets are allowed, although if you decide to go outside, you need to evaluate whether it will be a pleasant holiday for you.
