The restaurant is bright, airy, clean and dog-friendly. It is very comfortable and can accommodate up to 120 people on the ground floor and in the dining room upstairs. Service here is always great.
Abbey Wharf is a place we have to visit every time we come to Whitby, especially when we are with loved ones or little friends. The warm and inviting atmosphere makes this the perfect place for a family vacation.
There is so much on the menu that you can easily please everyone. The fish and chips here are delicious and there are many classic dishes. The restaurant offers a wide selection of fresh seafood, steaks, chicken and daily vegetarian specials for those who want more variety.

This is a great choice if you want good food, friendly service, and knowledge of the locals.
We’ve always praised Trenchers’ excellent quality but don’t take it away from us. You can read hundreds of great reviews. One of our favorite things about Trenchers is that you can get a variety of sizes here, so we usually grab a small portion at lunchtime.

The fish here is fresh and very delicious. The dough is light and crispy. The curry sauce here is especially delicious! The menu includes fresh seafood, crab, lobster, fresh fish, homemade pastries and lasagna, vegetarian, gluten-free options and a children’s menu.
Don’t line up! This restaurant has a lot of space and the line moves quickly. The staff are always very friendly. The restaurant is clean and bright, and the whole place is beautiful. They also have takeout.
We believe a fisherman’s wife would do anything to get her fish and chips with a stunning sea view.
The restaurant serves fish and chips and seafood dishes, including some delicious fish dishes. All ingredients are sourced from the village where possible and the friendly staff are always happy to help you with your food or nutrition choices.

Royal Fisheries is a family-run restaurant with local charm. With a long family history, Royal Fisheries wants to provide customers with quality food at affordable prices. You can choose to eat in or take away.
Their crisps were delicious and we enjoyed the fish cakes with sweet chilli as a lighter option. Part of the Yorkshire specialties, the little cod and chips served with bread and butter, juicy peas and tea are excellent. The attentive staff always made us feel welcome. Expect good relationships, good health and lots of local discussions.
