Best Dog Friendly Events – Let’s be honest, the only way I can be sure to attend your event is if I can bring my dog! Taking your dogs to events around Pittsburgh is a great way to socialize them. Plus, I get to meet parents’ friends and explore local businesses at the same time. If only everything in Pittsburgh were dogs!

Every year I host the Best Dog Show in Pittsburgh. This guide will be updated in 2020 as I learn new things about dogs.

Pups And Pints

This year’s date party is gearing up to be dog friendly! If you’re on Instagram, check out #DogsofPittsburgh to see some of our favorite pups participating in this event around town.

Bring your pets for a free photo op with the Hoppin’ Easter Bunny. This event will receive donations from the Humane Society of Greene County. More information.

The Ultimate List Of Dog-friendly Patios In Atlanta

Dog lovers will want to meet Victoria Shedd, professional dog trainer, behaviorist and author. Her book tour visits Riverstone Books in northern Victoria where Victoria will talk about her latest book.

The annual Bark Shadyside Pup Walk is back after a hiatus last year. More than 100 dogs usually come for the 1-mile walk through Shadyside’s tree-lined streets. There will be vendors and giveaways at the start/end of the tour. This event benefits people to rescue animals. More information.

Bring your dog for a walk in Boyce Park, and check out vendors, local animal rescues, a photo booth and raffles. Funding for the Central Maltese Aid and local aid. More information.

Second Annual Pittsburgh Dog Mom’s Day celebrates dog moms, our pups and the people who love us! The 2019 event was great! Come out and check out the 3 private photo booths, relax on the lawn with your friends, and enjoy food from the Rollaway Dog Cafe. The event will raise funds for the charity’s animal welfare activities. More information.

Best Pet Friendly Halloween Events In Orange County

Best Pet Supplies in McCandless and McMurray is hosting a 2-day event with raffle baskets, giveaways and vendors. The event takes place on Saturday in the North and Sunday in the South. Save the Date: Cranberry Place is celebrating June 20th! More information. 

May 17, 2020: The 7th Annual Southern Dog Day Celebration Celebrates a Southern stop with dog breeds, rescue visits, vendors, food, giveaways, games and fun for all ages! Bring your dog and enjoy a family day celebrating our furry friends! More information.

Give your dog a chance to get his paws dirty! It’s time to get muddy with your best friend in Mountain Mitts. This event is a dog version of the popular Seven. There are 5K and 1 mile courses. More information.

Dog Tales Of Australia

This PAWty customer appreciation event is held on the first Sunday of June each year. The event features food and entertainment representatives, family activities, pet movies, giveaways, raffles and more! More information.

Enjoy 10 days of free outdoor concerts at downtown Point State Park, all dog-friendly! There’s carnival-style food and plenty of room for a picnic with your dog. The artist area is dog friendly but can be crowded. More information.

Treat your child to an unforgettable night of free movies under the stars at Flagstaff Mountain. The movie starts at sunset, so come early and bring your best. We will have blankets but feel free to bring your own. More information to come.

Join us for a 1-2 mile walk at the July OpenStreetsPGH. Check it out soon before it gets too hot for dogs. More information to come.

August TBD: Mother’s Day Concert Hartwood Acres A series of outdoor concerts at Hartwood Acres continues throughout the summer. Join us for a special mom-to-be reunion at the August show. More information to come.

Visit Allegheny County Pools Labor Day Dog Swim! Participating pools include Boyce Park, North Park, Emigrant Cabin and South Park. More information to come.

Dogs and their families will participate in a 1-mile walk to enjoy pets around Pittsburgh each year. More information.

Pet-friendly Hotels: Travel With Your Pets

September 29, 2019: 2019 Pet Costume Contest As part of the 6th annual Walking Dead weekend, bring your little treats dressed in their best Halloween costumes. Enjoy goody bags, raffles, vendors and prizes for the best costumes! More information.

We found these puppy dogs at Fairhaven Farm in Grove City! On Saturday and Sunday there will be a dog walk and prize draw. All dog owners will also be entered into a prize drawing! A portion of each dog owner’s entry will be donated to Grove City Area Rescue. There will be dog food on Sundays only! More information. 

CARMAA hosts its annual DogtoberFEST event on the waterfront. Pets are welcome and there’s plenty to do, including petting animals and a huge costume contest with $600 in prizes. More information.
