Another nice stop on the way because the urn is broken. Noah and company hiked Caribou Falls, which overlooks Lake Superior and the Caribou River Gorge. Noah hoped (with no luck) to see a moose, but instead spotted a very handsome squirrel that was ready for disappointment. His opinion? All you have to do is look for waterfalls…and squirrels.
In the harbor park life was full of clubs and trees (for Noah). His lil cuz Fitz didn’t like walking on the rocks on the beach, but Noah didn’t slow down. Just a tip about the fries. Weird, beautiful and tough. There are two feet.
East Bay Suites offers free snow rental, and Noah enjoyed hiking with Julian on the Gunflint Trail in George Washington Pines. At over 2 miles long, the trail is so easy to appreciate. A few steps or the whistle of the snowshoes finds you completely surrounded by the forest. Fita got a cold and had to be carried. Again, the big boys are better.
Note: winter and COVID have limited restaurant options, but the people of Noah still find tasty food in these places.
A Dog-friendly Winter Vacation In Lake Placid
Just a block from East Bay Suites, this restaurant has a drive-thru. Noah approved. Za was delicious (but it would have been better if Noah had gotten another 7.5 crust).
The dog needs caffeine, you wonder? Noah bound his men and led them to Java. They had to wait outside on the boat when they ordered, but that’s OK. It looks cute and ready to be scratched wherever it sits.
The Gun Flint Shop offers both in-person and online ordering, plus some heated, dog-friendly sidewalk seating. The dinner was approved by the people. Nor m!

Benevolent and dog-friendly – not only was it allowed to be there, it was actually encouraged. Noah and Fitz need some food, including a stuffed hedgehog, which Noah carried around the store and then brought back to the hotel. Noa, this is my mother’s place.
Noah pulled people out with a sidewalk dog when he saw the window of this shop. And he did not disappoint him; dog biscuits were available until they were ready. Oh, and the people in the soft t-shirts were debaucherous.
