Judge, pizzaolo and director of franchising. . “In Natchitoches we don’t currently have an outdoor area (due to the weather) and service animals are always allowed. Acadiana Park Nature Station and Trails on Lafayette’s east side have trails so dogs can exercise without overheating.
Dogs run free at New Iberia’s Raising Cane’s Dog Park and Kiroli Park in West Monroe. Rooms are separated by size, so no abuse is allowed at Ginson Dog Park in Alexandria. Shreveport’s other dog park open daily is on the river, two miles south of downtown, and Baton Rouge BREC offers several open dog parks from dawn to dusk through the Recreation Department.

South of town, visitors and dogs may want to run near the water. “The Gulf beaches along the Creole Nature Trail are perfect for dog day trips,” said Roland, recommending Holly and Rutherford beaches. “Bring food, water and garbage bags,” he added.
Kevin Kelly, owner of Humus House, has a beautiful labrador named Maggie. He is one of the few dogs who can call Humas House and Garden home. Dogs must be on a leash while exploring the grounds and may enter the historic home if they are well-behaved. They are allowed to sit in the lounge but not outside the restaurants.
Jungle Gardens on Avery Island near New Iberia is open to dogs on leashes, but under strict supervision because the island is home to many gators. The American Rose Center in Shreveport is famous for its 20,000 roses because it is the national headquarters of the American Rose Society.
