Let’s start with the best ways to see Grand Teton National Park with your dog by taking the Grand Teton Scenic Drive.

The Teton Parkway is the main road through Grand Teton National Park and to the base of the Teton Range. There are three other scenic drives through the park, the Jenny Lake Scenic Drive, the Moose-Wilson Trail, and the Signal Mountain Summit Trail. All of these scenic drives are dog-friendly and accessible from the Teton Parkway.

Our recommendation is to take the Grand Teton Scenic Drive from the Teton Parkway to US Highway 89/191 and access all the best overlooks, voting and picnic areas within the park.

This beautiful trail winds through the heart of Grand Teton National Park and offers stunning views of the famous Teton Range and various canyons, making it easy to enjoy the scenery with your dog!

Table Mountain is located west of the Teton Valley. The Table Mountain Trail is easily accessible from Driggs, and the hike usually begins near Teton Valley Campground, located at the base of Teton Valley. (About an hour from Jackson, WY.) Continue on Teton Canyon Road to the parking lot and you will see a large sign for South Teton Road 027. The “face lane” is located in the bathroom.

This is a difficult and strenuous hike that covers at least 10 miles. The shortest route will take you to the “Hundred Way”, which is about 9 miles. However, many hikers, including us, recommend hiking the trail counterclockwise, so you hike the “Hundred Trail” and hike the “North Teton Trail” or “Huckleberry Canyon.” These loops are about 10-12 miles long. (For a less strenuous hike, consider hiking the North Teton Trail. Although longer, this route is shorter.)
