Love this pool, the host is very attentive! A large yard for dogs (fully fenced, lots of room to run) and a nice swimming pool and bathroom in a guest house. We keep it because it is a good place.

Let’s Roam is a fun (and cheap) way to see and learn more about Dallas. They offer 4 guided tours ranging from 5 miles to 2 miles. They give you interesting facts and make the game a business game! It could be a date night or a race with me!

Even if you can’t find a scenic hike in Dallas, Cedar Hill Nature Preserve is a great escape. You’ll find 600 acres and over 9 miles of trails less than 20 minutes from downtown. It’s a great spot for babysitting, bird watching or a picnic after a walk. It’s a non-profit organization that runs on donations!
Galveston Pet-friendly Vacation Rentals
After exploring Grapevine City’s quaint streets and window shopping, bring your little one to the lake for a swim.
Grab your kid, rent a paddle board with Backwoods Paddle Sports and head down the Trinity River. You’ll be in the heart of Fort Worth and see the city all around you! After the rental, the staff will explain your various options and you will be on your way.
They also rent kayaks (solo and tandem) and canoes, or you can bring your own vehicle to launch on Panther Island!
Note: All dogs must wear a life jacket. If you don’t have one, you can rent one for $5.00!
Pet Friendly Hotels
The Fort Worth Stockyards is one of my favorite places in downtown DFW. When you think of Texas, I immediately think of long teeth, cowboys, rodeos and country music. Stockyards gives you exactly that. in
You and your dog can watch daily (11am and 4pm), window shop, people watch, and have a barbecue.
Cost: Free to walk the streets, but pay for parking and other activities.
Coyote Drive-in is open 7 days a week. You can purchase tickets at the door starting at 6:00pm ($8 for adults, $4 for children). They are currently performing one movie in each of their concerts. After choosing your movie, head over to Coyote’s Canteen for all the movie food. Check out their current shows here!
