Now crowned the best garden center in Essex as voted by our readers. With over 1,000 votes, we’re delighted to announce that Plant Perfections Garden Center in Battlesbridge has won Best in Essex.

It is not hard to see that the independent garden center was very popular in the referral phase and praised for its ‘affordable prices’, ‘first class customer service’ and ‘wide range of products’.

Those who recommend Plant Perfections praise its membership program and friendly staff. There was a lot to say about this family garden center.
One who named the garden center said: “It is a pleasure to shop at this family owned and run store.
“They have lots of plants, pots, etc. They always have a big Christmas tree and a contest to win money.
“They support lots of charities and do a lot to help people working throughout the week. I won my plants, pots and an amazing Darth Vader garden ornament in the weekly competition.

After walking your dog in the fresh air, find a place to sit and relax with your dog at a dog-friendly cafe. After a reader poll, the Bicherstrasse garden center came out on top.
Family Plant Perfections Paul Tyndall, 47, and his wife Tracey, 45. Their son Jack, 27, runs the family business.
Plant Perfections was voted best garden center in Essex with a total of 383 reader votes. Meadowcroft Garden Center in Wickford came second (247), followed by Summerhill Garden Center in Billericay (101).

Boss Paul said it was “absolutely brilliant” to be recognized by his customers. It is a great honor,” he said. “One of my clients told me [about the referral],” Paul said. “I was really surprised that there were some great people out there. If my customers are happy, you’ve got a good business.”
He added: “We work really hard to give our customers the best experience. We try to be fair with our prices and have a members’ club where you get extra discounts if you join. I’m the premier of the plant world. .”
Paul and Tracey ran a garden center in Upminster for over a decade before building and opening a site in Battlesbridge. Asked how the center in south Essex compared to others in the county, Mr Tyndall said: “We’re a real garden centre; we sell plants. I don’t run a cafe. We don’t have one of those. We’re 100 per cent plant-based.
“My wife and I are the owners, and we’re always in the store and happy to offer any advice. We try to stick with our customers. We treat everyone the same, whether you drive a Bentley or not. Come on in. Drive.”

He added: “We want everyone to laugh, and if you’re not laughing, we’re not doing our job right.”
The plant perfections emerged from a survey of 12 garden centers in Essex, which were recommended by readers. A total of 976 people voted in the preference list.
