Dog Friendly Vacations In Pa – On our way to and from the Blogpus conference in Kansas City, we stopped in the quiet, historic town of Lock Haven, Pennsylvania. It’s a very dog-friendly little town with a beautiful river running through it. The city is also home to Lock Haven University, which has just under 4,000 students. The William Klinger Riverwalk is a beautiful paved walkway that follows the river for 3.25 miles. The creek is actually a ditch that protects Lock Haven from the West Branch of the Susquehanna River.
The Riverwalk is very dog friendly and a great long walk. We love going to Lock Haven. That’s because riverside trails provide good exercise for both us and our dogs, and are a great way to stop and have fun on long walks. I would visit this dog-friendly town myself for a stroll along the river!

Lock Haven is not a particularly busy town. It is a very quiet little college town with a few small shops and restaurants. We love it. It’s quiet and peaceful, and you can enjoy the riverside and beautiful architecture without worrying about crowds or parking.

In the summer, Lock Haven has riverfront events, such as a free summer concert series held on a floating riverfront stage! We love visiting Lock Haven Pennsylvania.
