Just a short walk from Turner Contemporary you’ll find Forts. This must visit cafe offers the best coffee. Although their menu is limited, they are constantly changing and have a delicious vegan option. He is always busy; on our first visit we couldn’t find a seat. Trying again mid-morning on a weekday, we managed to get a table before it got busy. The service is relaxed and friendly and our dog felt very welcome.

They serve everything from breakfast to coffee and cake, with vegan options. We had coffee and cake, but there is a large selection of food. Dogs are welcome whether you’re buying records or going to brunch. There is plenty of space here, so it’s great for large groups.

Wilds are so dog friendly that they greet your companion with a cool bowl of water with treats on the side. We ordered a plate of pineapple, freshly fried corn and tortilla chips. Along with the Salted Espresso Martini and Tommy Picante Margarita which were excellent.
If you are looking for a simple yet delicious family meal, Ngmo Yadia is the place to go, especially for families. This is a very popular restaurant in the heart of the old town, so tables fill up quickly. The outside seating area is perfect for lunch and people-watching on a sunny day. The menu has vegan options and dogs are allowed inside and outside.
The above restaurants have been tried and tested by me to ensure their quality. However, there are a few restaurants in Margate that I haven’t had the chance to visit. Both are dog friendly with vegan options on their menus. I will update this post when I visit them.
