Best Dog Friendly Resorts In Texas

Best Dog Friendly Resorts In Texas – One of the most common questions I get about the places I visit in Texas is dog friendliness! So I’ve teamed up with my friends at Hipcamp to share some of my favorite backyard events in the Austin area. And if you’re new to Hipcamp, you can sign up here for $10 off your first stay!

One of my favorite things about Hipcamp is a “pet allowed” filter that you can use when searching for camping and glamping sites on their website or app. Finding pet-friendly glamping is easy!

Is this the best place to install log cabins in Texas? Located near Bastrop in Paige, Texas, the Hobbit’s Nest tree house is a true forest escape. As you may have guessed, Lord of the Rings is rich, only a few small parts live in The Shire.

And best of all, it’s one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll find. In fact, the owners live nearby, and their two dogs roam the yard or come to the tree house to say hello!

There is no wifi here, but there is a kitchen, bathroom, shower, and small refrigerator, so I recommend cooking online and being comfortable. In addition, the sound of nature is at a very high level here, especially their “message frog” that you can hear from the beautiful lily pond that is not seen by the wooden house.

This beautiful property is located outside of Dripping Springs in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Options here at Lucky Arrow Retreat ($10 from Hipcamp for new members) include yurts, cabins, and pavilions, depending on the size and style of your party you’re looking for. If you want to glamp, yurts are the best choice for you, as shown in the picture below.

It can accommodate one or two guests and has an adjoining bathroom. For a more hotel-like experience, there are Courtyard Cabins, Breezeway Cabins, and Porch Houses, all of which fit four guests and have their own bathroom.

Quality Rv Resorts

Although this property has a dog and a cat, you have to pay a fee of $150 for each pet, .

If you want to sleep in a converted shipping container, the FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel in Round Top, TX is what you’re looking for. Sit around the fire pit and enjoy stargazing, tuck into their shopping cart, and head downtown for lots of vintage shopping.

If you want a good time, book your stay at the Round Top Antique Fair (just book early because people come from all over for it!). And yes, pets are allowed for free!

Close to Bastrop, The Reserve at Greenleaf has four beautiful yurts to choose from. If you’re bringing your pet, their pet-friendly yurt of choice is the Copper Lily ($10 from Hipcamp for newbies).

Texas Pet-friendly Vacation Rentals

The yurt can accommodate 4 guests and has amenities like a full bathroom and access to miles of hiking trails. They also offer a guided tour for an additional $25 per check. They have things like kayak rentals upon request!

Ranch 3232 offers unique Texas Hill Country accommodations with cabins, air-conditioned tents, RV sites, campgrounds, and a trailer park ($10 from Hipcamp for new members). The Johnson City property is only 2.5 miles from Pedernales Falls State Park, perfect if you want to hike and explore the state park during your stay.

My favorite house is the Bird House, their little house, although I think it’s for single occupancy (+ dog). Very little! If you’re looking for something bigger, rooms are a good option. At the time of this writing, their glamping tents do not allow dogs.

It’s best to check the rooms of each pet-friendly place, because sometimes not all rooms have the same amenities and conditions!

Dog Friendly Restaurants Houston

Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin’s luxury tents sleep 3-6 guests, depending on the tent you choose ($10 from Hipcamp for newbies). They have rooms with their own hot water, and other amenities such as fireplaces are available in every room of the house.

Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, TX is the perfect place to stay if you want to go tubing in the summer! Their accommodations range from cabins, tents, luxury tents, and apartments to RV sites and tents ($10 from Hipcamp for newbies). You can relax by swimming, go tubing on the nearby Guadalupe River, catch a concert at Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.

If you clean up to allow pets, you’ll find that there are plenty of dog-friendly places, like their safari lodges (my personal favorite there), their beautiful houses, and even apartments.
