Dog-friendly Getaways Near Me – One of the most asked questions I get is if the glamping sites I visit in Texas are dog friendly! So I’ve teamed up with my friends at HipCamp to showcase some of my favorite pet-friendly glamping spots near Austin. If you’re new to Hipcamp, you can sign up here for $10 for your first stay!
One of my favorite things about Hipcamp is that they have a “pets allowed” filter that you can apply when searching for camping and glamping spots on their website or app. This makes finding pet-friendly glamping much easier!
Dog-friendly Getaways Near Me
This is a Texas treehouse glamping site? Located near Bastrop in Page, Texas, The Hobbit’s Nest Treehouse is a true forest escape. As you might have guessed, The Shire is Lord of the Rings themed, with lots of little decorative pieces to bring it to life.

And, best of all, they’re one of the most dog-friendly places you’ll ever find. In fact, the owners live nearby and their two dogs roam the grounds and can come under the tree to say hello!
There is no wifi here, but there is a grill, a toilet, a shower and a small fridge, so I recommend cooking on site and actually unplugging. The sounds of nature take center stage here, especially with their “frog chorus” that you can hear from the beautiful lily pond that is overlooked by the treehouse.
This modern glamping retreat is located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country on the outskirts of Dripping Springs. Options at Lucky Arrow Retreat (Get $10 Hipcamp for new users) include yurts, cabins, and porch houses, depending on the size of your party and the type of experience you’re looking for. If you really want to sharpen, then as shown in the image below, it would be the best choice for you.
Each is suitable for two guests and has access to a shared bathroom nearby. For something a little more hotel-like, there are Courtyard Cabins, Breezeway Cabins and Porch Houses, each of which can accommodate up to four guests and have their own bathrooms.

Although the property is dog and cat friendly, you’ll have to pay $150 per pet, which you can do when you check out at Hipcamp (which also ensures you’ll be placed in one of the designated pet rooms.)
If you’ve ever wanted to sleep in a converted shipping container, the FlopHouze Shipping Container Hotel in TX, TX is what you’re looking for. Sit around the fire, enjoy incredible stargazing, take a dip in their container pool and head into town for some vintage shopping.
If you really want a good time, book your stay during the Round Top Antiques Fair (and book, because people come from all over!). Yes, pets are allowed for free!
Located near Bastrop, The Reserve at Greenleaf has four luxury yurts to choose from. If youare bringing your pet, their recommended pet yurt is The Copper Lily ($10 available at Hipcamp for new users).
5 Dog Friendly Weekend Getaways In Northern California
This yurt sleeps up to 4 guests and has amenities like a full size private bathroom and access to miles of hiking trails. They offer a guided tour at checkout for an additional $25. They also have the option of renting kayaks upon request!
The ranch offers 3,232 unique Texas Hill Country accommodations with cabin rentals, air-conditioned glamping tents, RV campsites, campsites and Gypsy Wagon ($10 off HipCamp for new users). The property is conveniently located in Johnson City, 1.5 miles from Pedernals Falls State Park, so it’s perfect if you want to hike and explore the state park during your stay.
My favorite is the Bird House, their small caravan cabin, although I would only recommend it for solo (+ dog) stay. It’s too bad! If youare looking for something bigger, cabins are a great option. At the time of writing, their glamping tents do not allow dogs.
It is always best to check which rooms allow pets at each location as this may not change every room in the property and the rules!

Located on Lake Bastrop, GLAT Austin has luxury safari-style glamping tents that sleep 3-6 guests, depending on which tent you choose ($10 available on Hipcamp for new users). They also have some cabins with their own hot tubs, along with other amenities such as a fire pit in every room on the property.
Mystic Quarry in Canyon Lake, TX is the perfect place to stay if you want to go tubing in the summer! Their accommodations range from tiny houses, teepees, glamping tents, and cabins to RV and tent camps ($10 available at Hipcamp for new users). You can relax by the pool, go tubing on the nearby Guadalupe River, catch a concert at the Whitewater Amphitheater, or spend the day at Canyon Lake.
If you filter by pet friendly, you’ll see that they have a variety of dog-friendly glamping options, such as their safari lodges (my personal favorite), their premium tiny houses, and even some cabins.
One of my favorite things about Mystic Quarry? They are located on 10 acres with beach volleyball, lawn games, public pool, walking trails, bocce ball courts, dog pool and dog parks and many other fun amenities. You can read more about their dog policy here.
