Vacation Dog Walker – My love for dogs started when I was young. I was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and we always had pets at home. I left my country in 1999 and moved to New Jersey. Since I never like the cold, I decided to start a new trip in 2007 in Miami Beach.
After I got comfortable with my lifestyle, I knew it was time to have a puppy and when I went to visit my family in Brazil, I talked to them about giving up our male toy dog to have a baby with my friend’s dog, the pug, I talked. . .

When it was time to fly to Miami with my kids, my family and I arrived at the airport 5 hours before my flight (which is usually only 3 hours before an international flight), but I just wanted to be sure. I arrived on time to do all the paperwork and Luca’s work because when I looked online a lot of people said that when you first travel abroad with a dog, everything gets delayed. Finally, when we arrived at the zoo’s health department, the official refused Luca’s certificate, only because the vet only wrote down his destination address and the address he was leaving for, which was my family’s home in Brazil.
I shouted to the officer in charge please let Luca come with me, my family was there confirming that we had been planning this day for months and there was nothing we could do or say to change his mind.
I’ve never cried so much in my life. The whole time I was waiting for my flight with my family at the airport, I couldn’t look away from him. Hugging, kissing and crying nonstop until going to the police station.

While waiting at the gate for my flight, I called my best friend and she reassured me, saying that Luca would be with my family in Brazil and that the universe had other plans for me.
I didn’t know, he was right! I started walking and sitting dogs in less than two years. Most of these days I walk the dog and I am so happy! I treat them as if they were my own.
Unfortunately Luca was only 3 years old. Burn my heart. But thanks to all my fur babies for keeping me busy and encouraging me on this difficult path.
My business is word of mouth and referral only. Honestly, I tend to keep it that way. I am grateful to my clients for trusting me and treating me as a person and not just a dog walker/sitter! They are like my family!

Lacey isn’t just an amazing guide dog, she’s a rescue! Knowing that my dog Stella is at her best when I go on vacation. I never had to worry because I knew Lacey took great care of him. He regularly walks Stella, plays with her, socializes her with other friendly dogs, and even bathes her before she comes home to me. I can honestly say that Stella was almost sad when she came home after spending the weekend with Lacey! That, and he passed out and slept for the next few days (which is great, because you know he’s having a good time). I highly recommend hiring Lacy if you need a dog walker or sitter, I wouldn’t trust anyone else to take care of my kids!

Very good! Cooper, our puppy, loves her and treats her as if she were his own. He bathed her a few times and took her for walks a few times and she was always happy. Sometimes we encounter Lacey outside when we walk with Cooper and he is happy to play with her. If you need someone to care for your puppy, Lacy is the person!
